"I am very grateful I decided to try Laura’s programme. I have previously tried Weightwatchers and Slimming World, and yes they were effective for me, but I seemed to yo-yo with my weight. If I had a bad day or night I would end up having a bad week and had the mindset that I would start afresh after the next weigh in. As a result, my weight would fluctuate, and I would lose motivation. I was always going to go “back on the diet”, so I would eat to try and have all the nice things I wasn’t allowed, and then for one reason or another I wouldn’t go back on and it would get put back a week. As a result, my weight went up and I seemed to go round in circles. Laura has managed to reset my mind. I am not longer eating badly ready for the next diet to start. If I have a bad day or night, I just reset for the next meal and don’t let it have the effect it did before. I understand what foods to choose and I am not having to count points to control it, I know that I can have a range of food including the things I had to cut out on other diets, I just pay more attention to what I am eating, the quantities, what it does for me. Which overall means that I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything, and therefore I don’t crave anything or feel restricted. I have lost half a stone, and this weight has stayed off, which has been fantastic, I am more energetic and feel much better in myself. Laura taught me a lot about foods and myself, and this has given me the tools to escape the cycle I was in and stop the yo-yo effect. Food is a huge part of my life, some people just eat because they have to, I eat because I love it, it’s an event for me and I am so pleased Laura has managed to change the way I think about it all so that I can love food and not feel like I am letting myself down."
